Building Blocks of Success

Objectives: Understand

How do you see your life?
*Lives are driven by our mental image of ourselves & others.
*How do you see yourself.

We see things not as they are, but as we are --- H.M. Tomilson
If you don't like your life --- change yourself! (Change map I live by & will change my life.)

Success Is Not About:
* Talent * Privilege * Education * Background or Environment

What is Sucess?
* Defined differently for each individual
*Simply defined - what is the outcome you want?

8 Building Blocks for Success
1. Know & Stay True to Your Priorities --- do you let life drive you or do you drive your life?

2. Develop Character & Integrity (Trust) --- one cannot think crooked & walk straight.
Five Steps for Trust:
*Keep every commitment make to self.
*Keep every commitment make to someone else.
*Always do what is right.
*Do your work.
*Trust others, give trust.

3. Attitude
*How you approach life :)
(every thought is a seed)
*How do you approach circumstances.
*How you approach failure.

4. Be Willing to Extend Yourself
*If depressed, get out & do something
-Exercise
-Do soemthing for others

5. Invest in People
*Help others in life
*All that is really worth doing is doing for others

6. Let Go and Move On
*Don't carry around garbage bag full of hurt, pain, past - get rid of it.
*To forgive is to set a prisoner free - YOU!

7. Find What Excites You
* Find what you like to do.
*If you don't like your job, find another one because money isn't worth misery.

8. Take Ownership of Your Life
*First (#1) & Last (#8) are a must. Ones in middle, can or can't do.
*It is your fault, whatever happens in your life.
*If you aren't willing to take responsibility of your life, you are at the whelm of everything.
